Amritsar to Kabul, Kandhar Flights to Start Soon MP Sahney

In a significant announcement aimed at enhancing trade and connectivity, H.E. Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, declared that direct flights between Amritsar and Afghanistan will commence soon. The announcement came during his interaction with Indian industry leaders at FICCI, New Delhi which was being chaired by Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee of Commerce and Parliamentary Consultative Committee of External Affairs.

Dr. Sahney stated that This is a historic step that can be a game changer for Trade and  industry in Punjab.

Dr. Sahney said that Amritsar’s strategic location and proximity to key border trade corridors will help create a faster and more secure air bridge between India and Afghanistan. This will significantly benefit farmers, traders and MSMEs on both sides, particularly for agri-products, dry fruits, fresh fruits, handicrafts and pharmaceuticals.
